Scope of Application:

1. Accessible probe A is suitable for toys used by children aged 36 months and under (under 3 years old)

2. Accessible probe B is suitable for toys used by children over 36 months old (over 3 years old).

3. If the toy spans two age groups, two probes should be used to test separately.

How to test with EN 71 Accessibility probe?

 1. Remove all removable parts from the toy without using tools.

 2. If the toy is equipped with tools, then use the equipped tool to remove all the components which can be removed by the tool.

 3. Extend the applicable articulated probe(test finger) to the toy part or component to be tested in any way, and each probe can be rotated 90° to simulate the movement of the finger joints. If necessary, the probe can be rotated around the axis at any joint to contact toy parts or components.
